Applegreen Meath – Civil & Structural Design by DOBA

Donachadh O’Brien and Associates (DOBA) are proud to have provided the full civil and structural engineering design for the new Applegreen service station in Meath. The project showcases DOBA’s commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, and sustainable infrastructure that supports both community use and client objectives.

The DOBA design team was led by Thomas Nolan (Structural Lead) and George Burns (Civil Lead), who worked closely with the wider project team to ensure seamless integration of architecture, engineering, and construction.

The scheme was delivered in collaboration with:

  • Client: Applegreen
  • Architect: Corgan’s
  • M&E Consultant: Lawler Consulting
  • Main Contractor: HML

Through careful planning and coordination, DOBA ensured efficient site access, safe circulation for vehicles and pedestrians, robust drainage and surface water management, and resilient structural systems. The new station demonstrates the value of multidisciplinary collaboration, resulting in a facility that is both functional and enduring.

This successful project highlights DOBA’s role as trusted engineering partners, providing design leadership that underpins safe, sustainable, and high-quality developments.
